Gabriel calmed down immediately when he saw Mamaw was there. He even gave her a shy smile back. "I don't know what's going on, Mamaw. Mommy doesn't know who I am and I don't know how I ended up at the high school. And he said he didn't know Grandpa Deaton! Then he hit a tree!" It all came out in one big rush as he looked at her with all the trust in the world.
