"Oh.. that sounds kinda lonely," Gabe said thoughtfully. "Can I name the puppy?" And in typical kid fashion, he was on to the new topic in under three seconds. He didn't want the puppy to be lonely.

"He sure did," Scott agreed. He wouldn't confess to his mom that he was siphoning pain off Stiles this whole time. He kept it subtle, but he was experiencing some of Stiles' pain. It was pretty brutal.
