On the ride to Deaton's house, Gabe nodded off with the puppy in his lap.
When they got there, he woke up enough to trudge into the house and be
guided to whatever surface Deaton wanted him to sack out on. Even with the
risk of there being a puppy accident, Gabe just curled up with him. Part
of him wanted to become a wolf and sleep that way but he resisted. It
would require too much energy anyway.

he'd even fallen asleep. "It's okay," he mumbled, waking up. "I got you."
