"My ass you don't," John laughed. It was good to hear his son joking around. There was always a fear with this group that someday the call will come and it won't be to come see him in the hospital but a morgue. It had occurred to him that despite all the confusion and mixed feelings, Gabriel being here meant they survived. His son was going to live. He was going to live and love and have a family that cared for him and he could care for. Was there anything more important than that?

Thinking about it now almost made him choke up. Fortunately Stiles was in the wheelchair and he was behind pushing it, so it wasn't noticed. He parked the chair and then got Stiles into his car carefully. He knew Stiles wasn't going to be as careful as he should.

Once he was behind the wheel again and Stiles was safe next to him, he finally relaxed. "We're finding you a spot to sit when we get there and I don't want you to move from it until I get back, okay?"

Gabriel was careful with the plates and sat down in front of one of them at the table. "Yeah, but they don't have any babies. Just Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Derek, and Uncle Isaac."
