It wasn't Stiles' fault that Gabe was reacting like he was. He was a shy boy and had grown up with some self-esteem issues. He was small and gay and shy. Those added up to insecurities at school and among the family. Those who spent time with him and encouraged him, like Ethan, he was warm to but some of the others made him insecure.
The invitation finally brought him to move cautiously from the wall to the table. He noticed Stiles hadn't sat down at the spot with the plate so he timidly pushed it closer to him. "Are you hungry?" He asked. The plate had obviously already been eaten off of. There was still plenty left though.
