To be honest with the way that Deaton was helping Gabe take care of the
puppy, letting him name it and everything... he'd figured that the vet had
given the boy the puppy. That's what he'd gotten from all the interactions.
So he can't help but frown because if that wasn't the case... Then why let
his kid get attached?
"Right, of course," he says with a bit of a frown. He's actually kind of
upset with the vet for letting that happen. "I guess we could." Even if
he'd rather take the puppy home with him when him and Gabe go back to his
place.
