AU: Scott/ Stiles/ Gabriel
No one knows why half the things in Beacon Hills happen. It's not exactly something they like to put on tour guides advertising the place.
Scott had gone to work right after his class, which left Stiles to drive home on his own. He would've been able to leave sooner but he'd gotten detention. This one had been totally Scott's fault and he'd apologized at lunch, but he hadn't been able to get Stiles out of it. So when Stiles left the school building there wasn't too many around. Just as he was reaching the parking lot, a bright white flash blinded him for a moment. There was a thud and a groan of pain and then everything went right back to normal. Except now there was a blonde kid laying on the ground not ten yards from him. He was still and unconscious, but there was something remarkably familiar about his face. He wore a coat and scarf, even though it was May and he had he didn't have anything with him besides that.

Gabe smiled sheepishly. "But I made the eggs and there aren't any more," he explained. "Can we share?"
no subject
"We can share, I don't mind. Tell me a little about you, Gabe." Though he's curious," How many kids do we have?"
no subject
"I have a green and yellow parakeet named Gus from the mouse in Cinderella. But now I have Peanut, he's over there." Guess who just got a new puppy without asking? It was almost visible how Gabe would look as a puppy wagging his tail like crazy, just so happy his mom was there.
no subject
"The parakeet isn't afraid with wolves in the house?" he asks, honestly curious. Though he looks over at the little runt and smiles before looking at Gabriel," Those the only animals we have at home?"
no subject
"Isaac," he answered about Derek's daughter. "He wants more though." He shook his head about the pets. "No, Laura just got a puppy it's got black and brown. Junior has a turtle but you're not supposed to know that." Then he frowns, realizing he just tattled. "Don't tell him I told you, okay?"
no subject
"Why wasn't I supposed to know about the turtle?"
no subject
The part about the turtle had him giving him a blank look. "I don't know." Junior had just told him not to. "It's in a shoebox?"
no subject
"Do you know where he found the turtle?"
no subject
"In the woods by the creek. He likes fishing and his frog died," he said. "I don't think you know about the frog either. But no, my bird is okay because you helped me pick it out." Basically Junior just liked catching random things and keeping them as pets for a while. He and Ron Weasley had some things in common.

He shakes his head and just eats but makes sure that Gabe eats some more too," Well, animals like that live in the wild. If he wants one he should ask. I wouldn't say no to it. I've always wanted an animal growing up."

Gabe shrank just a bit back. He didn't want to argue with Stiles, so he didn't. However, the idea of Mommy being okay with a bunch of pets might change once there were seven children to contend with. Myles was at least half the stress by himself. Either way, Gabriel didn't have a say in it. He was just trying to stay invisible as much as he could.

It takes a lot for him not to get up and walk into the living room, his anxiety probably filling the room. He'd call Scott but... well, he had the other's phone. "I'm just a big teddy bear, you know."
no subject
"You're not a big teddy bear, that's Uncle Derek and Uncle Ethan!" He said with an amused smile. "You're Mommy." Which seemed to explain everything, even though it didn't. He seemed to notice that and try to come up with a better way of saying it. "You're like.. pack mom." That probably didn't do it either. "You keep us in line." Did that work?
no subject
no subject
"Yeah, you make the rules and stuff," he tries to explain. "No one messes with Mommy." It helped that Mommy was a sheriff too.
no subject
"So what do me and mommy do for a living?"
no subject
"Daddy works with Deaton. Derek and the twins don't do anything." Which wasn't true, but close enough. Derek owned the Loft apartments and some other properties, but he didn't have a traditional job.
no subject
"Derek and the twins need to get a job too," he chuckles. "I'm surprised I've not had them doing that." Unless, of course, the kids is all the job those three need.

Hearing Stiles' comment on the other adults made him slightly nervous. He didn't know if Stiles actually wanted him to pass on the order or not, but he hoped he didn't. "Uh.. I don't know. But they have Bella now?"
no subject
"The baby is more important than the job," he says with a smile. "Doesn't get the twins out of it, but you kids should always come first."

His cheeks color a little flattered and ridiculously thrilled. "I don't know. I made you hit a tree."

John showed up after getting the medicine and nodded for Deaton to step outside. When he was sure the two inside couldn't hear, he said, "I can't help but be suspicious about all of this. We've had people who pretend to be something they're not before. Do you think this kid is for real?"
