No one knows why half the things in Beacon Hills happen. It's not exactly something they like to put on tour guides advertising the place.
Scott had gone to work right after his class, which left Stiles to drive home on his own. He would've been able to leave sooner but he'd gotten detention. This one had been totally Scott's fault and he'd apologized at lunch, but he hadn't been able to get Stiles out of it. So when Stiles left the school building there wasn't too many around. Just as he was reaching the parking lot, a bright white flash blinded him for a moment. There was a thud and a groan of pain and then everything went right back to normal. Except now there was a blonde kid laying on the ground not ten yards from him. He was still and unconscious, but there was something remarkably familiar about his face. He wore a coat and scarf, even though it was May and he had he didn't have anything with him besides that.

Date: 2016-01-30 01:52 am (UTC)Gabe shrank just a bit back. He didn't want to argue with Stiles, so he didn't. However, the idea of Mommy being okay with a bunch of pets might change once there were seven children to contend with. Myles was at least half the stress by himself. Either way, Gabriel didn't have a say in it. He was just trying to stay invisible as much as he could.

Date: 2016-01-30 02:04 am (UTC)It takes a lot for him not to get up and walk into the living room, his anxiety probably filling the room. He'd call Scott but... well, he had the other's phone. "I'm just a big teddy bear, you know."

Date: 2016-01-30 02:11 am (UTC)"You're not a big teddy bear, that's Uncle Derek and Uncle Ethan!" He said with an amused smile. "You're Mommy." Which seemed to explain everything, even though it didn't. He seemed to notice that and try to come up with a better way of saying it. "You're like.. pack mom." That probably didn't do it either. "You keep us in line." Did that work?

Date: 2016-01-30 02:48 am (UTC)"Yeah, you make the rules and stuff," he tries to explain. "No one messes with Mommy." It helped that Mommy was a sheriff too.

Date: 2016-01-30 02:59 am (UTC)"So what do me and mommy do for a living?"

Date: 2016-01-30 03:04 am (UTC)"Daddy works with Deaton. Derek and the twins don't do anything." Which wasn't true, but close enough. Derek owned the Loft apartments and some other properties, but he didn't have a traditional job.
no subject
Date: 2016-01-30 03:24 am (UTC)"Derek and the twins need to get a job too," he chuckles. "I'm surprised I've not had them doing that." Unless, of course, the kids is all the job those three need.

Date: 2016-01-30 03:34 am (UTC)Hearing Stiles' comment on the other adults made him slightly nervous. He didn't know if Stiles actually wanted him to pass on the order or not, but he hoped he didn't. "Uh.. I don't know. But they have Bella now?"
no subject
Date: 2016-01-30 03:50 am (UTC)"The baby is more important than the job," he says with a smile. "Doesn't get the twins out of it, but you kids should always come first."

John showed up after getting the medicine and nodded for Deaton to step outside. When he was sure the two inside couldn't hear, he said, "I can't help but be suspicious about all of this. We've had people who pretend to be something they're not before. Do you think this kid is for real?"

Date: 2016-01-30 05:54 pm (UTC)"How about we split the last sausage," he says with a smile. "That way we can both have the last piece." After all, he liked to share too. He's pretty sure that he does that quite a bit in the future, as much as he possibly can.
~~
Deaton steps outside and looks at John before giving a small smile," I believe that Gabriel is the real deal, sheriff. His manners are that of Stiles and Scott's along with looking like Claudia. So, yes, I believe that he's for real, as you put it."

Date: 2016-01-30 06:05 pm (UTC)Although right after he said that, he realized it could fall to Melissa and him. There were a lot worse situations than that. What parent that loved their children wouldn't find away to love one more?
~~
Gabriel smiled and cut the sausage with his fork. "Myles says one person cuts the other person gets to pick their side," he said. Myles and Caleb competed like that. Junior could get into that sort of competition too. Gabe followed the rules they set up even if he wasn't competitive.

Stiles can't help but chuckle," That's not a bad rule to live by, big guy." So once he sausage is cute he takes the smaller piece, leaving the bigger one for Gabriel. "I think that's a good thing to live by. Especially if there's a lot of people."

Date: 2016-01-31 06:54 am (UTC)"Of course," he said, nodding. "I'll.. uh.. we'll take him to our place tonight." It didn't seem right to impose on the vet any more than they already had. "Would you see that he gets these? I should really go speak with Melissa."
~~
Gabe almost protested but then he stopped himself. With a grateful smile, he takes the piece left to him. "Thank you, Mommy." He remembers the conversation he was having with Deaton before Stiles showed up. He hopped up and went over to the drawer with the silverware. "Did you know Deaton has spoons and stuff that used to belong to Uncle Derek and his sister?" He showed the Ninja Turtles spoon to Stiles.

Date: 2016-02-01 02:49 am (UTC)Deaton gives a slight nod taking Stiles' meds from John," Alright, sheriff. I'll let them know unless you want to talk to Melissa first even though you're taking Gabriel tonight."
~~
"You're welcome, big guy," he says giving him a smile. Though when he suddenly goes to a drawer and grabs out silverware, he laughs," No, I didn't know that. Though we shouldn't be surprised. Deaton knew Derek's mommy."

Gabe nodded. "There's a pink princess one for Laura too." He showed that to Stiles and then came back over. "Where's daddy?"
no subject
Date: 2016-02-01 04:16 am (UTC)Deaton gives a nod before heading back into the house, sitting the meds down in front of Stiles who just gives him a smile. Then he leaves the two be so they can have some family time together.
"That's pretty cool," Stiles says with a grin. "Daddy is..." He looks at the clock," Should be in school right now."

Date: 2016-02-01 04:27 am (UTC)He looked at the pills and then back at Stiles. "Want something to drink to take your medicine?" He asked. He didn't know where the cups were but he could use his own. There was still some juice in it.
no subject
Date: 2016-02-01 04:49 am (UTC)Stiles wasn't sure what he needed with the meds but he picks the bottle up and cants his head slightly, looking at it. "That would be awesome, big guy." Though if he needs to get up to get a cup he can do that. "You don't have to get it for me though, Gabriel." He knew, or thought he remembered, where most of everything was.

Date: 2016-02-01 04:53 am (UTC)He checked a couple cupboards before finding a glass and then getting some water. Bringing it back, he then decided to bring the finished breakfast dishes over to the sink.
