For a moment he's not entirely sure what in the hell Scott was going to do. Hell, he was pretty sure that the other was going to get up and walk out the door. That their friendship was going to take a pretty bad hit for it. Instead, instead the other was actually closing the distance. Was kissing him. He can't help but grin and kisses him back.

Melissa heads into the room to check on Stiles and stops short," I thought I said that he needed his rest." She really should just turn and go but she couldn't. After all, she had to attend to Stiles.

Scott nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Melissa. Since becoming a wolf people didn't just sneak up on him anymore. However, he'd been so hyper focused on Stiles, he hadn't even noticed she was there. They were lucky he hadn't just pissed himself.

And then it dawns on him that his mother had just walked in on that and omg..

"How long have you been standing there?" Because seriously, he had no idea.

Stiles jumps slightly because where in the hell had she come from?! Oh god, he just wasn't sure what to do with this or how to handle it. He can feel his heart beating pretty hard in his chest.

"Long enough," Melissa tells him. "I need to check on Stiles. Why don't you grab your things and start home, Scott. It's getting late and you've got school tomorrow."

"Aw, but mom! I can't just leave him here," Scott complained. He really, really didn't want to leave. Especially after whatever the hell that was that she'd just walked in on. Didn't they have to talk about that or.. something? (Kiss more).

"Scott," Melissa says tiredly but firmly. "You're not getting out of school, end of story. You need to get your things and start heading home." Even as she says it she moves over to administer more meds to Stiles. "You can visit him after school tomorrow. But right now you belong at home."

"It's okay, Scotty," Stiles says with a smile. More than okay really. "No lacrosse tomorrow so you'll be able to get here quicker."

Scott tries to protest, but he was just no match for the mom authority. So with a disappointed huff, he gave Stiles a weak smile. "Okay. Call.. oh crap. You don't have your phone. Do you want to keep mine?" He fished it out of his pocket again.

"I don't even know where it's at," he says with a bit of a smile. He lays back once he's instructed to because Melissa was not happy that he was putting strain on himself. Telling him that he'd be in there longer if he didn't knock it off. "Sure, even if all I'll be doing is trying to beat my high score."

Scott was satisfied once Stiles had his phone to play with and then left. It was hard being away from him and he didn't sleep much that night. He hoped Stiles wasn't having the same problem.

Gabe slept peacefully until Peanut woke up the next morning needing to go pee. He hopped out of the bassinet and then changed back to a human. He put on his underwear so he could take the puppy out. It occurred to him as he crept through the house, that he wasn't home. This wasn't Laura's puppy and he wasn't in his right time. Standing in the backyard in only his underwear, Gabe thought about this, waiting for Peanut to do his business.

Once Melissa was sure that Stiles was taken care of she texts John on her break. John, your son kissed mine or mine kissed yours! I don't know who initiated it though.

Deaton gets up and when he finds Gabe and the pup not in the bassinet, he heads downstairs. Finding them outside he walks out seeing the young McCall in just his underwear," What're you doing, Gabriel?" It's not harsh or anything, just inquisitive. "We need to get you both back inside."

And this day just gets weirder and weirder.

Gabe smiled up at Deaton when he came outside. "Peanut needed to pee," he answered. The dog was doing the other business now. He looked a little confused at being told to go back in. Then he finally looked around and noticed the other houses nearby. He frowned and scooted closer to Deaton. "Oh. Uh.. sorry. Our house is in the woods." He wasn't used to having neighbors that could see them around. It wasn't so unusual back home to have a little less modesty than other families. That and after a night of being a wolf, he usually thought like a wolf for a couple hours afterward.

You're telling me. I sent Scott home. Hopefully Stiles will get some rest.

"He's a bit too young to be outside right now," Deaton tells Gabriel gently, wrapping an arm around the boy's shoulders. "We have to wait until he gets older. Till then we put down newspaper so he can go on it. When we get inside I'll get you a small blanket to wrap around him while I fix you breakfast and make a bottle for him."

"Oh," Gabe said frowning. "I'm sorry. We take our puppy out in the backyard." He hated the idea he might have done something that could potentially hurt his new best friend. He picked Peanut up and carried him back inside with Deaton. He had to run back up to his bedroom to get his clothes since he was chilly too. When he came back, he told Deaton, "Sometimes when I spend too much time as a wolf I start to forget things. Not like important things, just things." Like wearing clothes or house rules that weren't instinctive. He couldn't explain that though.

When he got comfortable feeding Peanut again, he asked, "Is Mommy going to want to see me today?"

Scott called the hospital when he got up and they forwarded his call to the room Stiles was in. He just checked in to make sure Stiles was okay.

"Peanut's still young," Deaton tells him watching the boy pick the puppy up. "In a few years he'll be able to go outside. Until then we'll paper train him." However, when Gabriel tells him about forgetting things, it gets a frown out of him. "Becoming wolf shouldn't have you forgetting things." In fact, no born wolf should forget anything of how to be human not even for a minute.

"Stiles actually wants to come see you once he gets out of the hospital."

Stiles answers and his voice comes over the line a bit groggy," Hello?"

Gabe looked down at his feet. Deaton's response made him feel worse about forgetting things. If it wasn't a thing other wolves did then it meant it was something wrong with him. He didn't know what to say to that, so he just didn't.

The remark that Stiles wanted to see him made him happy, but he wondered if Deaton was going to tell Stiles about him being bad and forgetting things. Would Stiles get upset with him too?

"Hey Stiles. How are you feeling?" Scott asked.

Deaton moves over to Gabe and wraps arms around his shoulders," It's alright, Gabriel. The idea of a wolf forgetting just worries me, that's all." However, he smiles a little," Stiles might ask you questions about your siblings, you, and how things are in your world. Are you ready for that?"

"Sore as hell," he mutters before giving a chuckle. Even that hurt," So I might be coming home today. If things go right."

Gabriel embraced Deaton back, enjoying the affection. Even in his normal time, he could get clingy for affection. It had really affected him that he was here. "We watched a movie once and the Doc told Marty not to tell him about the future," Gabriel answered. "Is it bad?"

He didn't want to be responsible for exploding the universe.

"You sure?" He was surprised to hear them letting Stiles out. Of course, he was really just banged up not in desperate need of the hospital. Just pain killers and bed and he could get that at home.

Deaton hugs him a bit tighter," It was just a movie, Gabriel. Nothing bad is going to come of you telling him about the future." Perhaps telling Stiles might help but he could be wrong too.

"Yeah, Scotty, I'm sure," Stiles says with a bit of a chuckle. "I didn't break anything. Just got bruised up pretty bad." Okay, so maybe his ribs were either bruised or cracked a bit. There was no telling since all they could do is tape them up. "So after school we should head over to Deaton's."

Deaton's encouragement got Gabriel to relax. He could stop fretting and think about more important things- like breakfast! "Can we eat? I'm hungry," he asked, trying to sound polite even if he didn't succeed.

"Okay cool. Just rest and stuff till then, okay?" Scott said. He knew he was coming off like a mother hen but he didn't care.

The vet chuckles slightly before shaking his head," We can eat. Sausage and eggs?" After all, he doesn't know what Gabriel likes.

"Scotty, I'll be fine. I'm resting," he says with a chuckle. "I'll see you when you get out of school."

The suggestion gets a big grin out of Gabriel. "Yes please!" He was into fruit too, but he's polite enough not to start demanding more than what was offered. "I can help. Junior lets me stir the eggs with the.. uh.." he paused trying to remember what the tool was. "It's metal with the wires.."

Scott said good bye and then ran off to school. He day dreamed during some of it, but otherwise he was a good student today. He was trying to be better about it at least.

"The whisk?" Deaton asks with a smile. "Does he normally make french toast when he does that or just scrambled eggs? What else would you like with breakfast?"

Stiles? He eats some of the hospital food before relaxing, resting, charging up his best friend's phone and playing more games on it. Then after sleeps some. That way he's well rested for later.

"He's done french toast before, yeah. Mostly eggs though. Sometimes we do pancakes and if Scott's home he gives us toast with jelly. Did you know that jelly is Jello in England?" Gabriel shared. "We have fruit sometimes or juice or milk or coffee, but I don't like coffee." He wrinkled his nose at the idea of it. "It makes your breath stink."

"No, I didn't know that," he tells him with a chuckle. Even someone as young as Gabriel could teach the vet something new. "What kind of fruit would you like? As for something to drink I've only got milk, water and orange juice."

"I like all kinds of fruit!" Gabriel said, very proud of this fact. "I like melons and berries and bananas and apples and... I like milk! But don't put milk and orange juice together. I did that once and it was gross." Just in case Deaton ever got curious about that combination.
