"The hospital?" Scott asked shocked. "I'll be there in ten minutes." He knew Deaton wouldn't make him stay if Stiles was in the hospital. Now he was kicking himself for not answering the tag as soon as he got it. His hands had been covered in filth and then he'd forgotten for a while.

John stared. The boy laying there wasn't just kind of like his late wife. He was strikingly similar. There was enough of Stiles in his face too that almost made his knees weak. There were other familiar traits, but he couldn't place them immediately. Closing the door again, he looked at Melissa. "Stiles said he found the boy just laying unconscious in the parking lot at the school. There was something about... " he glanced around the hall making sure he could say it without causing trouble. "Something about Stiles not smelling like a wolf."

"Yeah, I kind of crashed the jeep," he mutters. "So you being here would be good. I'll explain everything after you get here." Or at least attempt to explain everything to his best friend.

"Some of the boy's mannerisms remind me of Scott," she tells John once they're out of the room and the door is shut. "He calls Deaton grandpa and wanted me to call his dad. The only other one at the clinic was Scott, John."

"Okay," Scott said. He dashed off, giving Deaton only a brief explanation. The druid was pretty used to emergencies popping up with the young alpha anyway. It took him less than ten minutes to get across town. It wasn't the smartest way to drive, but he was a bit freaked.

John looked at her confused and then through the window in the door at the kid again. Scott. That was who the other features had reminded him of. "How would that even happen? Stiles isn't a girl and those two aren't romantically together."

Stiles had gotten off the phone with Scott and closed his eyes, intending to rest a bit more. After all, his body needed it and he wasn't even sure if his best friend would be allowed in to see him to begin with. He probably had to talk to some doctor or mom. One of the two. He's not really paying much attention to it.

"I honestly don't know," she says looking through the window then back at the sheriff. "But this is Beacon Hills." Then she gives John a bit of a smirk," Maybe the boys perfected time travel." Though that was really a tease, nothing more.

John sighed. It was Beacon Hills, there was no denying that. "We should call Scott. Maybe even Deaton since the boy knows him somehow." He shook his head. If anyone could discover time travel, it would be these crazy kids. They were geniuses and all had a few screws loose. "I'll do that," he volunteered for his own suggestion.

Just as he started dialing, Scott came rushing through the door.

"I'll see if I can..." Or at least she was going to tell John that she'd try to get a hold of Deaton. Unfortunately, that's when her son came rushing through the hospital doors. Moving away from the sheriff, she moves over to Scott," Before you go off rushing anywhere, try to calm down." After all, she didn't need the hospital thinking that her son had lost his damn mind.

Scott's mouth was open to ask her where Stiles was, but she beat him to it. He huffed at that and then worked to calm himself down. "Okay, I'm calm," he said moments after. "Where is he? Is he alright?" He already knew there was more to the story than simply Stiles hitting a tree. There always was more than that.

John dialed Deaton and paced, moving further from other people so they could talk without being overheard easily.

Gabriel relaxed a little more in his sleep. He smelled Dad and Papaw, so he felt more safe. It was all sub-conscious, but Gabe was strongly in touch with his instincts like most of the wolf kids.

"Calm down a bit more," she tells her son, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and leading him towards Stiles' room. "He's going to be okay, he's resting right now. But he'll be fine. Why don't you go on in. He'll be happy to see you."

"Beacon Hills Animal Clinic," Deaton answers almost immediately after cleaning up. He figures it's probably someone calling about their pet or Scott. He doesn't expect anyone else on the other end.

Scott scowled, but kept working on calming down. The information that Stiles was alright helped a great deal. "Thanks Mom," he said and went on into the room. He frowned seeing Stiles banged up. "Hey.. are you hurting?"

"Yeah, hi Deaton. It's John Stilinski," the sheriff began. "We have another strange situation down here at the hospital. There's a boy who had been in the car with Stiles when he wreaked. He looks just like Stiles and Scott and Claudia. He's claiming Stiles is his mother."

There's a soft grunt out of Stiles and he opens his eyes a little to stare at his best friend. For a moment, he's not even sure that Scott is really there. Then again, he had just woken up from his... nap, sleep, rest... oh, whatever it was called. "A little. Got myself pretty banged up."

"Sheriff," Deaton says before frowning slightly. "You say that he looks exactly like the three of them together? Enough thathe could be their son?" However, at that last part," Do you know how he showed up in Beacon Hills?"

"Let me help," Scott said gently. He took Stiles' hand carefully. His other hand touched his best friend's brow and lightly brushed his hair back. It was a mannerism he'd learned from his mother and he hoped would be comforting to Stiles. "You never know how to go halfway with things do you?" He joked softly.

John really didn't want to say yes, but he had to. The boy was a spitting image of them. "Yeah. He has the same coloring as Claudia, but it's Stiles' face." Which really had been Claudia's too. "Stiles said he found him unconscious in the school parking lot. Do you think you should come see for yourself?" Then he remembered one more aspect of this. "Melissa said he called you grandpa."

Stiles really didn't like it when Scott or anyone decided to take his pain. This, though, was one of those days where he doesn't complain about it. Not when it hurt worse than he'd like to admit. He gives a soft smile to Scott's little joke," Where would the fun be in going halfway with things?"

"It's possible that this is all cause of the Nemeton," Deaton tells John. However, the moment the sheriff mentions that the kid called him grandpa, he nods. Even if the sheriff couldn't really see it," I'll be right down."

Scott knew Stiles was irritatingly stubborn about his healing power. However, he could tell from his face this was particularly bad. It made his life easier when Stiles didn't argue with him, because he was going to help whether he agreed or not. He smiled, pleased that Stiles still had some of his humor. "I don't know. I expect nothing less," he teased. Then he got a little more serious. "Do you feel well enough to tell me what happened?"

John was relieved that at least someone was feeling like this made sense. He was never sure how he felt about Deaton, but the man was very helpful when they really needed him to be. He wondered what it meant that Deaton hadn't hesitated to agree to join them.

While they were waiting, Gabriel stirred. He startled when he found himself in a hospital. No, no no no! This was real? His Mommy didn't know him and it hadn't been a dream. Cautiously, he slipped off the bed. He needed to go find him and tell him how sorry he was for getting Stiles hurt. It had been an accident. Mamaw said he shouldn't think of it that way, but it was the only way he could.

Peeking out the door, he sniffed the air and found Scott's scent.

He gives his best friend a bit of a smile but when that tone turned serious, he can't help but laugh. Even though that hurt just as bad as everything else," You might want to sit down first, Scotty."

When Deaton does get there he moves to find John," Where is the little man?" After all, he wanted to get a good look at the kid himself. To see the little boy that was calling him grandpa. It was more than possible that this was something the Nemeton had caused and they'd need to find a way to return the child to his own, well... temporal flux would be more like it, perhaps.

Scott frowned, not liking that answer at all. He pulled up a seat and just as he was getting ready to listen, he looked to the doorway. It was quick, but he spotted the kid sneaking in and hiding on the other side of the room. "Hey!" He said, jumping to his feet again.

Gabe had not thought this through. He had made a mad dash to Stiles' room but then he hadn't counted on the door being closed nor Scott's sense of smell. Which was pretty dumb now that he thought about it. So once he was in the room, all he could think of to do was hide. Scrambling to the cabinets, he opened one to try and slip into it, but it was full of stuff. With a soft whimper, he found himself caught between the wall and a not-so-happy Daddy.

"He's in here," John said, directing Deaton to the room. He looked inside and his eyes widened. He burst into the empty room, looking around frantically. The kid wasn't in the bathroom or anywhere he could see. They didn't even have a name to call after him.

Stiles sees the blur mad dash into his hospital room and before he can grab his best friend, he's up on his feet. He makes himself sit up which really was a mistake in and of itself, but he had to. "Scotty, it's okay. Sit your butt back down, please. Don't scare the kid."

Deaton follows John and when they find an empty room, frowns," You said that he looked like the boys. Perhaps he went to go find Stiles." It was merely a suggestion but it seemed like one that needed to be taken into account.

The fact that Stiles even knew the kid was surprising but so was being told not to scare him. Scott was really protective of his friend and he didn't know this kid. Although now that he wasn't ready for a fight, he did just look like a young freaked out little boy.

"Sorry," Scott said, to both of them. "Who are you?"

Gabriel was glued to the corner of the room, but it registered somewhere that Scott wasn't still barreling down on him. It took him a moment to respond, even if it hurt. Daddy didn't know who he was either. He bit his lip trying not to tear up. "Gabriel," he answered softly.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asked, moving to sit back in his chair. It made Gabriel have to peek over at them to make eye contact.

"Telling Mommy, I'm sorry," Gabe squeaked.

Scott looked at Stiles totally confused.

John didn't like that idea, but he didn't hesitate to go down to Stiles' room and open the door.

Seeing someone else looking angry, Gabe cowered back against the corner.

"Gabriel what?" Stiles asks looking over at the boy. However, when his dad suddenly comes into the room, Deaton somewhere behind him he can't help but scowl. "If you all are going to keep scaring the poor kid then you can get out of the room," he says with a slight scowl. "He's been through enough today."

Scott was totally at a loss. He didn't know what was going on nor why Stiles was being so protective of the kid. They didn't know this kid, right?

When John spotted the little boy, he felt really guilty for scaring him. The boy looked positively terrified and no one should do that to a child. So, he did what he thought was the right thing and took himself out into the hallway. He'd let Melissa know about Deaton being here and where the boy had ended up.

Gabe was hesitant. First, he was scared to death and second, he doubted anyone would like his answer. He really wished Junior or Dia was here. Hell, he'd even take Myles. His answer was almost too quiet for anyone to hear, but Scott. Almost. "McCall?"

Stiles calms, slightly, when his dad leaves the room and he looks towards the young boy when given his last name. It's something that he barely hears and when he does, he frowns slightly. "McCall?" So the kid was a relative of Scott's or his best friend's kid and calling him mommy..., that made no sense.

Deaton shuts the door and it startles Stiles slightly because he'd almost forgotten the emissary was there. "What year is it for you where you're from, Gabriel?"

Some of Gabriel's fear lessens when he heard Grandpa Deaton's voice. He looked up at him and was tempted to come over and glue himself to Deaton's leg like he used to do when he was really young. "2025?" He answered, nervously.

Scott didn't understand anything that was going on. He wanted Stiles to calm down and rest, not deal with whatever this kid was doing. However, his heart sank hearing the kid's last name and then the year. He looked at Stiles. "What the hell?"

"Grandpa, why don't Mommy and Daddy know me?" He asked, getting a little choked up.

Wait... 2025. Was this kid really trying to say that he was from the future? And yet... he was calling him mommy still and from what he could understand calling Scott daddy. What? That was his best friend. "Don't look at me, Scotty."

Deaton gives a slight nod to that information," Because, Gabriel, you're out of your own time. The year here is 2011. So you've somehow come 14 years into the past."

"How are we parents?" Scott asked, still really confused. Last he checked, they were both male. And they took showers after lacrosse so.. it wasn't like he hadn't seen Stiles in there. Sure he hadn't just stared at him either, but there had definitely been something swinging between his buddy's legs.

Gabriel whimpered, not sure how to take that. He certainly sounded like a wolf even if he was clearly not one at the moment. "But how? I didn't do anything... I'm not getting my bird am I?" Because, that was a priority here somehow.

"I don't know..." Stiles says with a bit of a frown. All of this was giving him a headache and he had to lean back on the bed, laying back down again because sitting up pulled on too many muscles and caused too much pain. "You asked why I didn't smell like a wolf. Why did you ask that?"

Deaton frowns slightly," I'm not sure how, Gabriel. However, I can look into getting you back to your own timeline. The bird? Was that what you were doing before you ended up in this time?"

Scott took Stiles' hand again. This time not just to take some of the pain, but also to offer up support. This was a lot to be throwing at someone who had just been in a car accident. He was tempted to see if Deaton could just take the kid elsewhere and let him get Stiles well again. But, he couldn't quite get himself to dismiss Gabriel that easily.

Gabriel nodded to Deaton. He was hesitant again to answer Stiles' question, but he did anyway. When Mommy asked a question, you answered. That's what he'd been taught. "You're a wolf," he answered simply. It wasn't how Myles would've answered in a 'no duh' kind of tone. This was still respectful even if the answer was really basic.

Deaton had managed to get Gabe from cowering, to now just sitting on the floor with his back against the wall. He didn't look as afraid anymore, but still about as lost. "Yeah, we were going to the pet store after school to get my second bird. I'd been good." And now he wasn't getting his reward, which sucked. He peeked over at Stiles before confiding even quieter to Deaton. "Mommy got hurt because of me. He's going to be mad I ruined my new coat." Which probably meant he hadn't been good like he'd been trying to be.
